Market Rules

This event predicts whether Sam Altman will remain in office as Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of OpenAI through December 31, 2026. The Primary Designated Source (PDS) will be official announcements by OpenAI confirming the CEO position.

If Sam Altman officially remains CEO of OpenAI through the end of December 31, 2026, this market will resolve to "Yes". Otherwise, it will resolve to "No". If OpenAI announces before that date that Altman will step down (even if the effective date is later), this will be sufficient for a "No" resolution. Temporary leaves of absence will not affect resolution as long as Altman officially retains the CEO title. If OpenAI’s structure changes, Futuur will assess whether Altman remains CEO of OpenAI’s principal entity. If official announcements are unclear, the Secondary Confirmation Mechanism (SCM) will rely on consistent reporting from major technology news organizations. Resolution will reflect the substantive holding of the CEO role, not internal restructuring labels. If a definitive determination cannot be made, Futuur may cancel this market with a public explanation.
