Market Rules

This event predicts which film will earn the highest domestic box office revenue (United States and Canada) during the 2026 calendar year. The Primary Designated Source (PDS) is Box Office Mojo, Amazon’s authoritative box office tracking platform. Only theatrical box office revenue is considered; streaming, digital, and home video sales are excluded. Eligible films must have had their wide theatrical release between January 1, 2026, and December 31, 2026.

The reference ranking will be the domestic calendar-year grosses published at boxofficemojo.com/year/2026, using the “Gross” column once full data for December 31, 2026, is available. If a film is released in December 2026 and continues earning into 2027, only its 2026 earnings will count. If Box Office Mojo data is delayed, unavailable, or unclear by January 7, 2027, Futuur may consult another credible box office data source. These markets will be resolved according to the substantive outcome—the film ranked first by domestic gross—and not minor technicalities. If the top-ranked film is not listed among the markets, all markets will resolve to "No". If no fair determination is possible, Futuur may cancel the markets with a public explanation.
