Will Christine Lagarde still be the president of the European Central Bank through the end of 2026?

This event predicts whether Christine Lagarde will remain in office as President of the European Central Bank (ECB) through December 31, 2026. The Primary Designated Source (PDS) will be official European Central Bank press releases or European Council announcements confirming the ECB presidency.
If Christine Lagarde officially remains ECB President through the end of December 31, 2026, this market will resolve to "Yes". Otherwise, it will resolve to "No". If she resigns, is replaced, or otherwise ceases to hold the presidency before that date, the market will resolve to "No" at the moment of official confirmation, regardless of caretaker arrangements. If official ECB records are unclear, the Secondary Confirmation Mechanism (SCM) will rely on consistent reporting from major European news organizations. Resolution will reflect substantive holding of the presidency, not interim or caretaker statuses. If a definitive determination cannot be made, Futuur may cancel this market with a public explanation.
